Investigative writer Nina Teicholz credits a high-fat, low carb ketogenic-style diet on her effortless 10-pound weight reduction and improved health, Examiner reported.
Saturated fat is really not bad for health, Teicholz writes in her bestseller, The Big Fat Surprise. It does not cause obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease, despite what we've been told.
Teicholz, a former vegetarian, struggled to shed weight on low-fat diets, but could shed Ten pounds without exercise by simply 2 Day Diet Pills increasing her use of healthy fats and reducing her carb intake, because the Paleo, ketogenic and Atkins plans do.
Unlike longstanding low-fat diet dogma, the real cause of putting on weight, diabetes, heart disease and cancer is really a high-carb diet, especially one high in sugar, said Nina.
Teicholz drew her conclusions after conducting a nine-year investigation of scientific studies and nutrition research on dietary fat. Nina now has bacon for breakfast and snacks on nuts, cheese and salami for lunch. When you eat more unprocessed saturated fats and much less carbs, she rarely experiences hunger and it has consistent energy throughout the day.
"I tried so hard after i would be a vegetarian," she told ABC News. "And I used to obsess about food. However I just don't. And that i barely exercise. I discovered that I lost 10 pounds [easily]. And my levels of cholesterol were fine."
"Researchers have found that people can overeat carbs, but it's nearly impossible to overeat steak. Exactly why you aren't satiated eating carbs and you're when eating protein and fats is the fact that you're getting important nourishment your body needs from those animal foods, so you feel satiated because you're getting what you need. And your blood sugar levels stays more even."
Teicholz shares her weight reduction and health revelations at length within the Big Fat Surprise.
LCHF Diet Prevents Pro-Inflammatory Insulin Spikes
Teicholz echoed the sentiments of science journalist Gary Taubes, who argued that fat continues to be wrongly blamed for causing obesity and other degenerative diseases for the past 4 decades. Taubes detailed the research in the bestseller, Why We obtain Fat.
According to obesity experts, a high-carb diet promotes disease and putting on weight by causing pro-inflammatory spikes in blood sugar and insulin shots. By limiting those surges in blood sugar, we dramatically reduce inflammation, which is what fuels putting on weight and disease, they say.
An increasing number of medical professionals are debunking the myth that saturated fat is the cause of high cholesterol and cardiovascular disease. In March 2014, Dr. Rajiv Chowdhury, a cardiovascular epidemiologist at Cambridge University, said unprocessed saturated fat actually enhances health. According to Chowdhury, we ought to concentrate on reducing carb intake and consuming more unprocessed fats if we wish to be healthy.
"It's not saturated fat we should be worried 2 Day Diet Japan Lingzhi about," Chowdhury wrote in the Annals of Internal Medicine. "It's the high-carbohydrate or sugary diet that should be the focus of dietary guidelines. If anything is driving your low-density lipoproteins in a more adverse way, it's carbohydrates."
Dr. Chowdhury and the Cambridge University colleagues drew their conclusions after reviewing data from 72 published studies in excess of 600,000 individuals from 18 countries.
